Dr. Alexander Batchev is a highly experienced, multi-board-certified physician with more than 30 years of clinical practice across obstetrics and gynecology, family medicine, venous and lymphatic medicine, and lifestyle medicine. His career has spanned hospital-based care, private practice, vein centers, men’s health programs, and telemedicine, allowing him to provide truly comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all backgrounds.
Dr. Batchev brings a unique combination of expertise in women’s health, chronic disease prevention, vascular medicine, and procedural care. He is currently practicing at Newark Vein & Vascular Center in Newark, NJ.
Education
Dr. Batchev earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete extensive postgraduate training, including:

Before transitioning into vein and vascular medicine, Dr. Batchev spent many years practicing OB/GYN and family medicine, providing women’s health, maternity care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and primary care services. He has held hospital leadership roles, helped develop new clinical programs — including nurse-midwifery services — and has taught medical students, residents, and physician assistant students.
