Keira E. Werner, MSN, AGPCNP-BC is an Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in critical care and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Felician University in 2023, graduating with a 3.8 GPA, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Jersey City University, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2012. Additionally, Keira has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
Keira has held various roles in renowned healthcare institutions. She currently serves as a Charge Nurse at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, where she manages complex surgical and trauma cases in the Intensive Care and Neurocritical Care Units. Her experience includes managing Level I trauma cases, performing direct peritoneal resuscitation, and caring for transplant patients. Prior to this, she worked at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience in trauma care and neuro-interventional procedures. She has also served in critical care roles at Valley Hospital, Kindred Healthcare, and Allegra Arthritis Associates, focusing on post-operative cardiac care, medical-surgical care, and autoimmune disorders.
In addition to her professional work, Keira has completed clinical training in diverse settings. She worked with the Visiting Nurses Association of Central New Jersey, specializing in LGBTQ+ health, including HIV management and gender-affirming care. She also gained experience in primary care and chronic disease management at Dr. Ahab Gabriel’s Internal Medicine office and provided geriatric and palliative care at Christian Healthcare in Wyckoff, NJ.
Keira holds board certifications in Adult-Gerontological Primary Care and Neurovascular Nursing. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the Association of Neurovascular Clinicians. She is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support.
