Margarita Arostegui brings to her position as Regional Clinical Manager at Nirvana Healthcare Management Services (NHMS), at the Roseville Medical Society and the North Ward Medical Arts locations, more than seventeen years of direct patient care in medical/surgical units, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, assisted living, and home care.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Ms. Arostegui worked at Saint Michael’s Medical Center (Newark); HCR Manor Care (New Providence); and CareOne (Livingston). After earning her Registered Nurse (RN) degree, she gained intensive nursing experience with Maxim Healthcare Services (Hackensack); Bayonne Visiting Nurses; and Trinitas Regional Medical Center (Elizabeth), where she spent ten years in its long-term/sub-acute unit. Immediately prior to joining NHMS, Margarita had been Home Care Intake Coordinator at VNA Health Group (West Orange). She is fluent in Spanish.
As Regional Clinical Manager, Margarita’s responsibilities are wide-ranging: she hires, trains, and monitors all medical assistants; reviews CDI reports; and reviews PODs across all locations for accuracy and consistency. In addition, she engages in patient education and responds to patient concerns, whenever appropriate.
When asked what one word comes to mind to encapsulate her experience at Nirvana, Margarita responds “potential” because she is impressed with the organization’s substantial growth and is encouraged by Nirvana’s focus on community outreach. She was touched when one of her patients told her, “It was meant for me to meet you and have you care for me. You are a gem!”
