Maria Christina Errazo has been with Nirvana Healthcare Management Services (NHMS) since 2013, as a nurse clinical coordinator for Dr. Salerno in Sub Acute Rehabilitation and Long-term Care. She is at present working as Certified APN in two locations: Metropolitan Medical Group (East Orange) and North Ward Medical Arts (Newark) and is also an Acute Gerontology NP credentialed and rounding for NMHS patients admitted in Clara Maas Medical Center and St. Michael Medical Center.
Before joining NHMS, Ms. Errazo had eighteen years of diverse clinical experience, including the following positions: Unit Manager of subacute care at Saint Cloud Healthcare Center (West Orange); Director of Nursing at CareOne (Livingston); Clinical Coordinator of subacute care at New Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (Newark); Clinical Program Development Coordinator at Alaris Health (Orange), and Operating Room Nurse (Head Nurse in Ophthalmology Department). Maria Christina earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Adult/Gerontology in 2016. Professional memberships include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nursing Association (ANA) and is currently finishing her Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner.
In addition to helping to mitigate symptoms of illness and injury, Maria Christina coordinates community resources to promote patient self-care; teaches patients preventative healthcare strategies; serves as a patient advocate, and develops and implements interventions based on risk assessment. She is committed to community outreach to “make a difference in patients’ lives.” Ms. Errazo encourages patient interactions: “I love the fact that patients come to me with their questions and concerns.”
Maria Christina enjoys the flexibility of her position as she has had opportunities to work in various settings (office, acute, and subacute). She also loves the company’s collaborative spirit and working as a member of a team. “NHMS is a great place to work.”
