Measles Outbreak Alert – Are You Protected?

Measles cases are on the rise, including in Bergen County, NJ. This highly contagious disease spreads through airborne droplets and can lead to severe complications. Protect yourself and your family by confirming your measles immunity today.

Do You Need an Immunity Test?

If you were born after 1957, you may not have full immunity. A simple IGG antibody blood test can determine if you are protected.

  • Positive IGG = You are immune.
  • Negative IGG = You need the MMR vaccine.

Who Needs the Measles Vaccine?

 Anyone without confirmed immunity

 Healthcare workers (high-risk group)

 Travelers & individuals from countries with lower vaccination rates

 Post-exposure cases (within 72 hours)

Symptoms of Measles

  • High fever (104°F+)
  • Cough, congestion, red eyes
  • White spots inside the mouth (Koplik spots)
  • Red rash spreading from face to body

To help you transition, we encourage you to seek a new pain management provider. While we cannot make specific recommendations, we are available to guide you in finding local providers.
